Asset Tracing

Our client had over a thousand unclaimed bonds accounts where the address held was not valid. They had tried several methods of obtaining new addresses before approaching Forth. We were asked to obtain new addresses for as many accounts as possible.

Details

The data had to be first converted into one format for external screening and joint account names separated. Because of the value of some of the bonds, a wide range of external databases were employed ranging from a few pence to a few pounds per address found.

Solution

• The data was run against several external databases on an increasing cost basis.
• Only the new net file was run at each stage.
• A full data reconciliation was provided at each stage.
• In total, we provided deceased or goneaway flags or new address details for over half of the original file.
